The course engages children (4-6 years) in a creative learning journey using MIT's Scratch, a visual programming environment. Without requiring reading skills, kids learn programming basics, design principles, and foundational literacy concepts by creating visual programs, games, and personal projects using tablet devices. The course culminates in a group presentation of their projects.
This course also fosters and shapes the habit of creating games, rather than just playing them, and accustoms children to useful and developmental games, instead of ordinary ones that teach wasting time and energy in vain.
